## About

CloudMakers is a software company specialising in astronomy and astrophotography applications. The apps integrate imaging, guiding, mount and other hardware control, plate solving, and scripting into one practical imaging workflow. CloudMakers co-founded the INDIGO Initiative — a modern alternative to the older INDI framework, designed for multiplatform and distributed astronomy software.

INDIGO enables macOS and iOS clients to control hardware through remote INDIGO servers, including Raspberry Pi or other Linux machines running INDIGO Sky.

- INDIGO A1 is a multiplatform graphical client for built-in or external INDIGO servers. It brings image capture, guiding, mount operation, plate solving, automation, and monitoring into one workspace. The app controls cameras, filter wheels, focusers, mounts, and auxiliary devices. Scripting and automation tools help users build repeatable capture sequences for local or distributed setups.

- A native macOS port of the astrometry.net system with an IPC service and GUI wrapper. Integrates with the Astrometry agent in INDIGO A1 for local image plate solving. Focuses on fast FITS-based solving without extra Python dependencies or plotting output.

- A fast viewer for astronomical images in FITS format. Opens files from Finder, fits the image to the window, and automatically optimises brightness. Provides orientation tools, FITS header review, histogram inspection, and raw colour preview using Bayer matrix settings. Built on CFITSIO.

## INDIGO Initiative

INDIGO is a modern, multiplatform framework for distributed astronomy software. It is a community initiative co-founded by CloudMakers. Hardware compatibility and server packages are available at https://www.indigo-astronomy.org/
