Getting started with eBook Manager

eBook Manager is a fast and easy to use application for organizing e-books on your computer and for transferring them from and to your Kindle e-readers.

It understands .mobi, .azw and .azw3 file formats.

The application window is splitted into three panes - the library pane (left), the book list pane (top right) and the book detail pane (bottom right).

The library pane contains items for all books in the library on the computer (and the recently added books), for all books on e-reader and book collections (visible only if the reader is connected) and for book collections. You can add or remove the collection (+ and - buttons at the bottom of the library pane) and edit the collection name (clicking on an already selected item).

The book list pane contains the content of the list selected in the library pane. You can sort the list by the author or by the title (clicking on the column header) and edit the author or the title (clicking on an already selected item or clicking the toolbar button).

The book detail pane contains the book description (if available), publisher name and publishing date, language, book cover image and DRM marker.

You can import any book from the computer filesystem to the eBook Manager library by dragging the file onto the "All books" item in the LIBRARY section or to the book list (if the library is selected). You can also transfer any book from the computer filesystem to the reader by dragging the file onto the "All books" item in the KINDLE section or to the book list (if the reader is selected).

You can also transfer books between the library and the reader by dragging the books from the list to the "All books" item in the KINDLE or the LIBRARY section.

You can save the book into the collection by dragging it from the book list when the content of the library is shown. Adding books to collections doesn't affect the reader.

The selected books can be removed from the library, reader or collection by clicking the trash can toolbar button.

The long list of books can be filtered by writing any substring to the search field in the toolbar.

Note that the application may ask to grant the access to your Kindle when used for the first time.

Remember to unmount the reader properly before disconnecting it!
